Uzbekistan and China have adopted a program of strategic partnership until 2018

Almaty. August 20. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan and China have adopted the program of development of the strategic partnership for the years 2014-2018, reports the press service of the President of Uzbekistan published on Wednesday.
The document was signed during the visit of Uzbek President Islam Karimov to China on August 19-20.
Following the talks, Islam Karimov and Xi Jinping signed a joint declaration between Uzbekistan and China, number of documents aimed at further development of technical and economic cooperation between the two countries, strengthening the partnerships in areas such as energy, high technology, banking and finance, said the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
China remains one of the largest trade and investment partners of Uzbekistan. In particular, for the last 6 years, the volume of trade between the two countries increased by almost 6 times and in 2013 amounted to $5.2 billion.
In Uzbekistan, there are 482 enterprises formed with Chinese partners, including more than 70 with 100% of Chinese capital,  registered 74 chinesee representative companies.
