Uzbekistan and China have agreed to expand trade in basic commodities
Almaty. June 18. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan and China signed a protocol on the expansion of trade and economic cooperation within the framework of the creation of "Economic belt of the Silk Road". This was reported in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan, reports Trend.
"In accordance with the protocol, Uzbekistan and China in the framework of co-creation of the "Economic Belt of the Silk Road" will fully apply the existing mechanism of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, as well as deepen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, investment, financial, transport and other spheres", - says the publication.
In the project planned: the expansion of trade in basic goods, infrastructure construction projects, reconstruction of industrial sites and creation of industrial parks.
The document was signed in China at the third session of the intergovernmental Uzbek-Chinese Cooperation Committee. The protocol was signed by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyer Ganiev and China Deputy Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan.
China is one of the largest trade partners of Uzbekistan with the volume of bilateral trade, as of 2014, in the amount of $4.7 billion.
