Uzbekistan and Japan signed investment projects worth $8.5 billion

Almaty. October 26. Silkroadnews - During the state visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Uzbekistan the sides signed investment projects worth $8.5 billion, reported the Uzbek news agency (UzTAG).
"Following the talks, President Islam Karimov and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, signed a joint statement on deepening and expanding strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan", - said the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
Also signed a number of documents on cooperation between the foreign ministries and financial institutions, in the field of energy, science and healthcare.
In addition, agreements were reached on the implementation of joint investment projects worth more than $8.5 billion in areas such as modernization of energy and transport infrastructure, development and processing of mineral resources, automotive, oil and gas and chemical industry, telecommunications and other modern industries and production.
