Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to facilitate the state border crossing procedures

Almaty. December 26. Silkroadnews – Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan plan to facilitate the state border crossing procedures, UzTAG reports.

“State bodies of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are working to simplify the order for crossing of state border at the checkpoints of “Syrdarya” and “Tselinniy” located on M-39 route line”, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Erik Utembayev said.

He also added, the crossing points “Tashkent-Kazygurt”, “Gulistan-Atameken” and “Zangiata-Kaplanbek” are being prepared to change their status as well.

Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan proposed to Uzbekistan to simplify the state border crossing procedure for tourists. The proposal by the Kazakhstani site suggests implementation of the pilot projects opening a kind of “green corridors” in certain tourist areas of Kazakhstan.
