Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to start bus services between the two countries
Almaty. November 22. Silkroadnews – Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan plan starting bus services between the two countries, UzTAG reports.
“The participants of the Uzbek-Kazakhstani business conference held in South Kazakhstan discussed the possibilities of the joint projects. Among the other issues the plans discussed also included opening of ten joint ventures, three of which are already under the process”, the publication says.
Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Uzbekistan Erik Utembayev addressed the conference with a proposal to create a Kazakh-Uzbek agro-industrial zone and expand cooperation to cover all the areas of Uzbekistan.
The ambassador also said about the negotiations on the opening of the inter-regional bus services on the routes Samarkand-Shymkent-Turkestan and Shardara-Zhetysai-Jizzakh.
In the future it is planned to simplify the procedure of crossing the border for the participants of joint ventures, as well as to create the appropriate advisory council.
In their turn, the Uzbek investors expressed their interest in business in the territory of industrial and special economic zones of the South-Kazakhstan region.
