Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia have discussed the creation of new transport corridors

Almaty. March 19. Silkroadnews - The Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan (MFERIT) held a meeting with the chairman of "Azerbaijan Railways" Javid Gurbanov and CEO of JSC "Georgian Railway" Mamuka Bakhtadze, reports UzTAG.
"During the talks, the sides discussed issues of efficient loading of regional transport and transit corridors, increasing the volume of cargo transit of foreign trade, through the territory of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia," - says the publication on Thursday.
It was agreed to continue working together for the flexible tariff policy and create an enabling environment to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of transport routes.
The parties also discussed the possibility of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with the launch of a new railway "Baku-Tbilisi-Kars" and promising projects in reating new transport corridors connecting the region with the countries of Europe, Middle East, South and South-East Asia.
