Uzbekistan by 2019 will supply to India two thousand tons of uranium
Tashkent. August 27. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan in 2014-2018 years will deliver to India two thousand tons of uranium, according to the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) with reference to the Indian media.
"Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine" (NMMC) and Indian UCIL signed a contract to purchase 500 tons of Uzbek uranium per year over 5 years with an option to extend the agreement.
Uzbekistan at the end of the 90s looking for additional sales channels of its uranium, which is entirely exported.
As recalled by the agency since 1992, American Nukem has the exclusive right to supply Uzbek uranium. In 2011-2014 Uzbekistan has signed long-term contracts for the export of uranium to Japan, South Korea and China. Conditions and the volume of contracts by the Uzbek side were not disclosed.
