Uzbekistan finished its last batch of export of highly enriched uranium to Russia

Almaty. September 29. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan completed the removal of the last batch of its highly enriched uranium to Russia, reported the Uzbek news agency (UzTAG).
Recall that in December last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the federal law according to which the Russian Federation from Uzbekistan will import spent nuclear fuel research reactor IIN-ZM.
The document provides for a one-time import of fuel for temporary technological storage and subsequent processing and abandonment of radioactive waste generated during processing on Russian territory. It is about 30 liters, containing about 5 thousand gram of uranium of 90% enrichment.
