Uzbekistan from 2016 will introduce a mandatory energy labeling for household appliances
Almaty. April 13. Silkroadтews - Import of a number of household appliances without mandatory labeling of energy efficiency class will be prohibited in Uzbekistan from 1 January 2016, reports KazTAG.
From 1 January 2016, it will become mandatory requirement to mark the information on the energy efficiency class in the documentation and on the labels of the household appliances, specified in the information of the Government, published on Monday.
According to the document, the list of devices include refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, electric stoves, dishwashers, microwave ovens, televisions, electric water heaters, heating electrical appliances and lamps. According to international standards, energy efficiency of household appliances is designated by the letters «A» (the most energy efficient) to «G» (the least energy efficient).
The regulation provides that the import and sale of household appliances with energy efficiency class «G» will be banned from 1 January 2017, «F» - from 1 January 2018 and «E» - from 1 January 2019.
