Uzbekistan has postponed entering a visa-free regime with some states up to 2021

Almaty. January 9. Silkroadnews – Uzbekistan has postponed introduction of a visa-free regime for the citizens of foreign countries till January 1, 2021, Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) informs.

According to the decree by the President of Uzbekistan, such decision is made to secure safety for lives and health of foreign tourists, support further development of equal external economic cooperation with foreign countries.

A decree approved earlier introduced visa-free regime for citizens of 15 countries for a period not exceeding 30 days starting from April 1, 2017. Besides, visas were canceled even for tourists over the age of 55 from 12 countries.

The list of 15 states whose citizens were allowed to visit Uzbekistan for up to 30 days without a visa includes Australia, Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Finland, Switzerland and Japan.

Among the 12 countries that received the abolition of visas for citizens over the age of 55 are Belgium, Indonesia, China (for tourist groups), Malaysia, US, France, Vietnam, Israel, Poland, Hungary, Portugal and the Czech Republic.
