Uzbekistan has strengthened control at the border with Kazakhstan due to information on anthrax cases

Almaty. July 8. Silkroadnews – Uzbek authorities have strengthened control at the border with Kazakhstan due to information on anthrax cases, UzTAG writes.

According to the republic’s State Customs Committee, the diagnosis of “anthrax” was confirmed for eight residents of the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan, there is also information on cases of anthrax found in the South Kazakhstan region bordering Uzbekistan.

Sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country is not alarming, no cases of this disease infection have been detected.

“Relevant authorities have also strengthened efforts to prevent the disease in Uzbekistan, the due awareness raising activities are carried out for population,” the department’s officials noted.
