Tashkent. June 18. Silkroadnews - Confirmed oil reserves in Uzbekistan in 2013 amounted to 100 million tones, of natural gas reserves - 1.1 trillion cubic meters, which corresponds to reserves in 2012, said in the report of British BP World Energy on Wednesday.
BP experts report that Uzbekistan in 2013 has reduced oil production by 7.1% to 2.9 million tonnes. The company notes that Uzbekistan was producing an average of 63 thousand barrels of oil per day (a decrease of 7.1% compared with 2012).
Oil consumption in Uzbekistan last year grew by 2.1% - to 3.9 million tons. Average daily oil consumption in the country in 2013 was 84 thousand barrels per day, comparing to 82 thousand barrels per day a year earlier.
According to calculations of BP, natural gas production in Uzbekistan in 2013 decreased by 2.8% compared with 2012 - to 55.2 billion cubic meters. Gas consumption in 2013 amounted to 45.2 billion cubic meters (-3.3%).
Capacity of the national operator for hydrocarbon production and processing - "Uzbekneftegaz" - can provide natural gas production in the amount of 70 billion cubic meters and liquid hydrocarbons in the amount of 8 million tons per year.
