Uzbekistan increased imports of Kazakh wheat in January-August by 44.3%
Almaty. October 6. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan exported in January-August to Uzbekistan 722.1 thousand tonnes of wheat and mixture of wheat and rye, totaling to $122.6 million, which is 44.3% more in volume and 50.7% - in value than in the same period of 2014, reported UzTAG.
As published on the website of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance, excluding Russia and Belarus, Kazakh wheat exports in January-August amounted to 1.8 million tons worth $374.6 million, which is 27.6% less in volume and 34 6% in cost.
The largest consumers of Kazakh grain in addition to Uzbekistan, are: Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Italy, Azerbaijan, China, Afghanistan, Turkey.
