Uzbekistan introduces a system of separate collection of waste

Tashkent. July 29. Silkroadnews - Uzbek government has approved the new "Service Rules for collection and disposal of solid and liquid waste", according to which introduced separate collection of household waste, reports Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG).
The publication says that consumers are obliged to carry out the primary sorting of municipal solid waste in separate disposable bags, dividing them into plastic, metal, paper waste, parings and scraps of cotton cloth, rags and biowaste.
Waste collection points will be equipped with special containers for separate collection of solid waste with distinctive colors and characters.
In addition, for the first time industrial enterprises will be required to accept from consumers obsolete and damaged products of their own, for recycling by the manufacturer by developing a mechanism to receive special products.
The transition to the new system of separate collection of household waste is not reported yet.
