Uzbekistan launches campaign to popularise eco-friendly shopping bags

Tashkent. June 6. Silkroadnews - Tashkent has launched a campaign to popularise Eco-friendly shopping bags. It is hoped that the public use those bags as opposed to the plastic alternative.
This campaign is meant to mark International Day of Environment. It is celebrated worldwide on the 5th of June, as the local UN Office informs.
The campaign was mainly initiated by "Social Innovations and Volunteering" Project. The project is jointly implemented by the UNDP and the UNV.
Eco-friendly shopping bags have been popularised in many countries of the World. It is one of the Ways that ordinary citizens can contribute to the cause of Climate Change prevention.
