Uzbekistan on Independence Day this year will not close the border to Tajik

Almaty. August 15. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan will not close the border to Tajikistan on Independence Day this year, according to Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) on Friday.
"This year, on the eve of the 23rd anniversary of the Independence Day of Uzbekistan - on September 1, there will no restrictions on the admission of citizens of Tajikistan through the checkpoin", - says the agency on Friday.
It should be noted that previously the Uzbek authorities on the eve of Independence Day celebration introduced restrictions on movement through the border points.
"Today, all the checkpoints on the Tajik-Uzbek border are operating normally. There are no problems with the intersection of the citizens with the relevant documents"- says the agency in the representation of Uzbekistan to Dushanbe.
Recall that in order to ensure safety in recent years Uzbekistan on August 1, notified Tajikistan for imposing restrictions on the admission of citizens of RT on territory of Uzbekistan.
