Uzbekistan plans to raise up to 8 million tons of grain in 2015

Almaty. June 17. Silkroadnews - In 2015, Uzbekistan plans to harvest crops in the volume of 7.5-8 million tons, said the representative of management of crop production under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic on Wednesday.
A ministry spokesman said that according to the government decree on the organizational measures for the harvesting of grain crops in 2015, the volume of grain purchases for the state needs is stored at the level of 2014 and amounts to 50% of the volume of production.
The results of the harvesting campaign, which began last week, is planed in August.
