Uzbekistan plans to receive more than 1 million tons of cotton fiber in 2015-2016.

Almaty. October 9. Silkroadnews - In the cotton industry enterprises of Uzbekistan in 2015-2016 it is planned to process more than 3.35 million tons of raw cotton, to receive more than 1 million tons of cotton fiber, reports UzTAG. These plans were announced at a press conference of the association "Uzpahtasanoat", on the holding of the XI International Cotton Fair on October 15-16 in the International Fair Complex "Uzexpocentre". Currently, in the structure of the association there are 13 regional joint-stock association "Pahtasanoat", about 100 ginning factories, a research center "Pahtasanoat" and 34 specialized seed shop. Uzbekistan ranks 5th in the world in the export of cotton and during the fair concludes a large number of contracts for the sale of cotton.
