Uzbekistan plans to spend more than $654 million for the construction and reconstruction of roads in 2016

Almaty. December 2. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan in 2016 plans to invest 1.8 trillion soums ($654 443 123) for the construction and reconstruction of roads, reported the Uzbek news agency (UzTAG).
"The bulk of these funds will be allocated from the Republican Road Fund - 1.3 trillion soums. Another $178 million will be attracted from international financial institutions. As a result, it is planned to construct and reconstruct 512.9 km of highways, of which 443.9 km by asphalt and 69 km - by cement concrete", - said the Republican Road Fund.
In addition, at the expense of the World Bank in the amount of $200 million over the next three years will be repaired local roads with total length of 376 km in Tashkent, Andijan, Fergana and Namangan regions.
