Uzbekistan set a new tax on individuals’ property

Almaty. January 5. Silkroadnews – On January 1, 2017, the government of Uzbekistan set new rates of tax on property owned by individuals, with the tax rate size depending on square area of the housing, Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports.

In particular, the property tax rate (houses and apartments, chalet buildings, garages and other buildings, premises and facilities) owned by individuals increased from 1.5% of the inventory value of property to 1.7% (+0.2%). The tax rate for 200-500 square meters houses and apartments in cities rose from 1.8% to 2.1% (+0.3%), and taxes on more than 500 square meters houses and flats increased from 2.5% to 2.9% (+0.4%).

At the same rate of tax on houses and apartments with a total area of more than 200 square meters located not in the cities but in other populated areas will make 2.1%.
