Uzbekistan starts regional small business program of EBRD

Beijing. March 7. Silkroadnews - The Association of Banks of Uzbekistan hosted the official launch of the EBRD Regional Small Business Project (RSBP) in Uzbekistan funded by the European Union and carried out a panel discussion on “Financial sector digitalization in Uzbekistan”, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports.
The RSBP’s main task is to transfer know-how and best practices in the field of financing and other areas related to servicing micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Central Asia.
This will be done through the transfer and exchange of knowledge of the EBRD in the area of SMEs financing: creating an appropriate platform of access to SMEs market participants in Central Asian countries, regular trainings for financial institutions in Central Asia, lectures and distance learning will be organized to cover a wider audience.
The RSBP project will also support financial institutions in systematic electronic access to the EBRD’s experience in this field.
