Uzbekistan to deal with emergency situations offers to coordinate actions with regional neighbors

Almaty. November 16. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan to deal with emergency situations offers to coordinate actions with neighbors in the region, reports the News Agency of Uzbekistan (UzTAG).
Such a proposal was made at a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which was held in Chendu (PRC). The meeting was attended by heads of ministries and departments of the corresponding profile of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting was addressed by the head of the Uzbek delegation. In his speech, it was noted that, along with other States, Uzbekistan also faces threats of occurrence of various emergencies.
The statement noted that Uzbekistan is willing to achieve appropriate agreements with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to conduct aerial surveys of the mountain and foothill areas in transboundary areas, which are a source of possible threats to the population and economic entities in the border areas.
Topical question remains an annual joint measures to combat harmful locust, as the effectiveness of these measures depends on the coordination and coherence of the relevant services of neighboring countries on the objectives, time and venue.
According to the Uzbek side, cooperation in these areas is an effective factor in maintaining stability and security and creating favorable conditions for the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the field of emergency management in the SCO.
