Uzbekistan to raise partnerships with China to a new level – MFA of Uzbekistan

Almaty. April 25. Silkroadnews – Uzbekistan intends to raise partnerships with China to a new level, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Zhavlon Vakhabov stated.

“Uzbekistan considers China as a powerful world power with significant economic, scientific, technological and intellectual potential. Today China has been playing a driving role for the world economy and enjoys the recognized high authority. One can hardly imagine any topical problem of a global scale to be considered without China’s participation today”, Zh. Vakhabov told journalists during the conference.

He added, the main purpose of the state visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China this May is to discuss the current state of relations in the fields of politics, trade, investment and humanitarian cooperation.

Minister also stressed that on the basis of the visit to China, Uzbekistan expects to “open a new page in the history of bilateral relations, bring the level of a multi-faceted strategic partnership with the PRC to the new horizons”.

As reported, during his visit to China Sh. Mirziyoyev will also participate in the high-level forum on international cooperation within the framework of “One Belt, One Road” strategy in Beijing.
