Uzbekistan to strengthen efforts to clarify the rules of traditional Islam
Almaty. August 19. Silkroadnews – The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan will intensify the information work «to clarify the norms of traditional Islam» «to resist the spread of radical extremism ideas», the head of the board Mufti Usmonhon Alimov said on Wednesday, Uzbek office of Azattyk reports.
«We need to strengthen the work among the public and especially the youth to explain the rules of the centuries-old Hanafi teachings of Islam, Muslim scholars-theologians adopted at the global level», azattyq.org quoted U. Alimov saying.
According to him, the Board plans to increase the amount of new literature publications «revealing not only the true nature and purpose of the current threats hidden behind the name of religion, but also the correct and true interpretation of our beliefs».
