Uzbekistan will build Central Asia's largest cement plant
Almaty. July 13. Silkroadnews - In Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan before the end of 2018 is planned to build a new cement plant, reported the Uzbek news agency (UzTAG).
"The plant's capacity will be 1.5 million tons per year. The estimated cost of the project is about $225 million", - says the publication.
It is noted that the initiator of the project is the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine. Funding will be provided at the expense of own funds in the amount of $24.4 million, Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan for $90 million and $110.6 million of credit funds will be raised from other commercial banks.
According to Almalyk MMC, after starting the plant will be the largest in Central Asia, specializing in the production of Portland cement.
