Uzbekistan, will create a joint venture for maintenance of thermal power plants turbines

Almaty. February 10. Silkroadnews - State Joint Stock Company (SJC) "Uzbekenergo" plans to set up a joint venture with Japan's Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) for service of thermal power plants (TPP) in Uzbekistan, reports Trend.
"It is expected that the joint venture will be established by the end of this year", - says the publication.
At present, the installed capacity of Uzbekistan is 12.4 thousand MW, including "Uzbekenergo" - 12 thousand MW. The share of institutional power does not exceed 3% (362.5 MW). The main share of electricity - up to 90% is produced by 10 thermal power plants of "Uzbekenergo" with a capacity of 10.6 thousand MW.
