Uzbekistan will create it's own geographic information system

Almaty. August 20. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan with the support of South Korea started the active phase of the project to establish a national geographic information system, reported UzTAG.
"The project envisages the creation of a satellite geodetic network, a unified computerized state cadastre and registration of real estate. The total cost will be $25 million, of which $15 million as a loan will provide the South Korean "Eximbank" - said the first deputy chairman of the State Committee on Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadastre of Uzbekistan Tulkin Abdullayev.
According to him, today announced the results of the tender for the selection of consultants for the project. The winner became Korea's ICT Technologies. It will develop a feasibility study and will then put out to tender for the supply of technological equipment.
Overall, the project is scheduled for completion by 2017.
