Uzbekistan will create teams of border "vigilantes"

Tashkent. October 6. Silkroadnews - The Government of Uzbekistan adopted the position on promoting the border troops of the National Security Council (NSC) of the Republic "Chegara posbonlari" ("Guardians of the borders"). The corresponding document was published on Monday in the local press.
Groups promoting formed to provide practical assistance to border troops to ensure the reliable protection of the state border of the Republic, as well as the identification of illegal activity, planned and carried out in the border areas, and directly at the state border of the country, stated in the document.
Regulations approved by the main tasks of these incentives to officers and members of the groups to facilitate border troops NSC. In particular, the group promoting the task to inform the representatives of the border guards who were known to them the facts of preparing or committed violations of the law, participation in the activities undertaken in order to ensure the protection of the state border and compliance regimes established at the state border, search  violators of the state border and arrest violators of the border regime.
Uzbekistan in the north and north-east borders with Kazakhstan, in the east and south-east - with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the west - with Turkmenistan in the south - with Afghanistan. The total length of the state border is 6221 km.
