Uzbekistan will develop a program of localization and production of finished products until 2019

Almaty. January 19. Silkroadnews - Uzbek President Islam Karimov ordered the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade to develop a program of localization and production of finished products, components and materials for 2015-2019 years, reports the Telegraph Agency of Uzbekistan (UzTAG).
"The events taking place in the world today, strongly suggest that the establishment of the basis of its own raw materials import substituting industries provides economic independence of the country. Our own experience shows localization programs, what are the benefits we get from this, especially in terms of reducing dependence on external risks, the formation of domestic demand and market saturation necessary for consumer and industrial products. Evidence of this is the growing level of localized production in the volume of industrial production, which rose from 9.2% in 2005 to almost 20% in 2014", - said Islam Karimov at the meeting of the Government talking about end of 2014 and priorities for 2015 .
