Almaty. June 25. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan from July 1 for one year will introduce an additional fee up to 10% on the import of goods produced in Ukraine. The relevant government decree is published in the press on Thursday, reports UzTAG.
The decision to impose an additional fee has been made in connection with the adoption of the Ukrainian Law "On measures to stabilize the budget balance of Ukraine in accordance with Article XII of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994" and the introduction of additional import charges, according to the ruling.
In August 2014 the Ukrainian side stated the possibility of establishing a free trade zone with Uzbekistan to expand the sales of Ukrainian goods due to the decline in trade with Russia. However, to date, practical solutions to this initiative have not been taken.
