Uzbekistan will launch a new tunnel costing $455 mln in 2016

Tashkent. July 15. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan will launch a tunnel costing $455 million in 2016, reports UzTAG.
"Construction of the tunnel in the Namangan region with the length 19.2 km and cost $455 million was the largest Chinese-Uzbek economic project", - says the publication.
The railway tunnel "Angren-Pap" is currently the longest tunnel built by a Chinese company in Central Asia.
The project started in September 2013, construction is designed for 3 years, commissioning is scheduled for August 1, 2016.
According to the China Railway Tunnel Group, this contract was the first major independent foreign project for the company.
