Uzbekistan will the open the center of crafts

Almaty. October 8. Silkroadnews - On October 10 in Uzbekistan with the support of UNESCO will be opened the center of crafts, according to Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG).
"The new center will be located at the Karakalpak branch of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. Establishment of the center will contribute to improving the social and economic well-being of the local population through the development of traditional crafts and tourism sector, thereby reviving and preserving the cultural heritage of Karakalpakstan", - said the representative of UNESCO in Uzbekistan.
In addition, the appearance of the center will contribute to the promotion of traditional crafts at the national and international levels and attract tourists to the region.
