Beijing. June 15. Silkroadnews - Washington introduces tariffs on $50 million in Chinese goods, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) writes citing Izvestia.
“U.S. President Trump has made up his mind to impose “pretty significant” tariffs on Chinese goods, an administration official said on Thursday, as Beijing warned that it was ready to respond if Washington chose to ratchet up trade tensions,” Reuters wrote in this regard.
Reportedly, before this, D. Trump held a meeting with employees of the White House, ministries of commerce and finance.
The exact date of the tariffs introduction was not announced.
To remind, on May 30, D. Trump announced the introduction of 25% customs tariffs on the import of goods from China. According to the experts, the major focus to be made on high tech products.
