World Bank will lend Tajikistan $100 million to support the state budget and a number of projects
Almaty. February 4. Silkroadnews - The World Bank (WB) plans to allocate $100 million to Tajikistan in the form of grants and loans to support the state budget and a number of projects, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Wednesday.
"It was announced on February 4, during the meeting of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the World Bank Regional Director for Central Asia Saroj Kumar Jha", - said the publication.
In particular, both sides expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of the WB and RT.
Appreciating the sustainable development of Tajikistan's economy, despite the impact of external factors, it was noted that to maintain social and economic stability, RT provided anti-crisis measures.
Also summarized the implementation of the national development strategy of Tajikistan until 2015 and discussed the definition of development priorities for the period up to 2030.
It was stressed that at the present time in Tajikistan are being implemented 12 investment projects totaling $185.1 million financed by the WB.
Saroj Kumar Jha said that the World Bank intends to continue to support the sustainable development of Tajikistan.
