Xi Jinping will deliver a keynote speech at Boao Asia Forum 2018

Beijing. April 4. Silkroadnews - Chinese President Xi Jinping will participate in the opening of the forthcoming annual conference of the Boao Asia Forum in Hainan province, South China, and deliver a keynote speech, State Advisor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, the “People’s Daily” newspaper reports.
As this year marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening, it is expected that the forum, to be held from April 8 to 11, will witness a number of new measures, especially those related to a further opening of the financial sector.
The theme of the forum is “An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity”, the participants are also expected to discuss the key issues related to globalization, the Belt and Road initiative and innovations.
Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, will visit China from April 9 to 12 to attend the forum and deliver a speech.
