Almaty. May 11. Silkroadnews – Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay official visit to Russia in early July, TASS reports.
“This year’s first meeting between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping will take place at the “One Belt, One Road” forum to be held in Beijing. The dialogue will be obviously continuing in early July when China’s President Xi Jinping is scheduled to visit Russia”, the Russian ambassador to China Andrei Denisov said.
He noted, the bilateral contacts will continue throughout the year: the BRICS summit (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) will be held in Xiamen in September, and later on the Russian and Chinese presidents will meet at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Vietnam.
To remind, on May 14-15, 2017, Beijing will host “One Belt, One Road” forum. The forum, as expected, will bring together top officials from 28 countries, as well as United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde, and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim. The overall number of participants will exceed 1,200.
