Yuan dropped out of the top five most used in the world currencies
Almaty. March 31. Silkroadnews - Chinese yuan dropped out of the top five most used currencies, transmit foreign media.
"The Chinese yuan in February 2015, droped down from 5th to 7th place among the most used world currencies, in international transactions, according to the settlement system SWIFT", - says the publication.
As recalled, three months ago, the Chinese currency has risen from seventh to fifth place, beating the Canadian and Australian dollars.
By the end of February 2015 the proportion of yuan had fallen to 1.81%, and again fell back to seventh place in the ranking of the most used currency in international payments.
The experts of SWIFT explained this trend as a result of prolonged celebration of Chinese New Year (in China this year began on February 19), and this has led to the fact that a number of local banks and financial institutions for a few days left for the holidays.
Earlier, Chairman of the Central Bank of China Zhou Xiaochun warned the authorities of the country of the need to be more alert to the signs of deflation, noting slowing global economic growth and falling commodity prices.
